Indian Ecological Society International Conference 2022 (IESIC 2022) on “Sustainable Agricultural Innovations for Resilient Agri-Food Systems”

“This is a timely and internationally-important conference addressing the triple challenge of creating a transition towards agricultural and food systems that are more productive, have positive impacts on nature and ecosystem services, and play a significant role in reversing the climate crisis. This is not simple, yet we know so much more today about how to redesign systems towards these aims. Now comes the pressing need to scale them up to benefit all agricultural systems and farm families worldwide.”

“Identifying the synergies and trade-offs among the sustainable development goals related to Agri-food systems is one of the greatest challenges of our time.  The “Sustainable Agricultural Innovations for Resilient Agri-Food Systems” conference will bring together an impressive diversity of knowledge, disciplines, and viewpoints to build a more holistic approach to food systems.”

Prof.  Zeyaur R. Khan

“I am anxiously looking forward to participating during the IESIC 2022 to be held in Jammu this year and to present my work there. This conference on Sustainable Agricultural Innovations will be the most interesting meeting of the year covering many important areas for enhancing food security and environmental sustainability. The attendees of the conference will have an excellent opportunity to listen to and interact with twenty keynote speakers who are top world-renowned scientists in their fields, and with many oral and poster presenters. It will an excellent opportunity for both Indian and foreign scientists and students to attend this conference in person after two years of COVID 19 pandemic. I still remember attending Twenty-five years ago, in 1997 a very well-planned International Conference organized by the Indian Ecological Society in Chandigarh. That conference had attracted many participants from India and abroad and gave the participants an excellent platform to interact with each other. The organizers took very good care of each of us. I am very confident that under the leadership of Prof Peshin and his organizing committee the IESIC 2022 in Jammu will be a great success.
